Brand Refresh

Company: Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo

Role: Graphic Designer

As a key member of the Calgary Zoo's rebranding effort, I played a pivotal role in transforming the visual identity of the zoo. My contributions included crafting a vibrant and cohesive color palette and developing a comprehensive visual systems for external and internal applications.

Through innovative designs, I effectively showcased the zoo's commitment to biodiversity, emphasizing the impact of our conservation programs and the stories behind them to establish a strong connection between the zoo's conservation initiatives and on-park attraction, reinforcing their mission to “restoring balance to wildlife and human life, together”.

Two projects highlighting the rebrand are the ‘Dorothy Harvie Gardens Interpretive Signage’, educating on the power of gardens and impacts of pollinators, and conceptualized, and developed a park-wide species signage redesign, starting in the rainforest building.
